4 Simple Ways to Style Your Growing Fringe (Without Going Crazy)

So you decided to try out bangs. At the time, it was the perfect change you were looking for. Maybe you loved it, or maybe you regretted it as soon as you left the hair salon. Either way, if you are over your fringe and want tips on how to style it while you’re growing it out, this is for you.

We know that growing out your fringe can be frustrating at times. You might even get to a point where you feel it’s never going to happen. And, if you can’t find a way to style your fringe anymore, you might end up cutting it again. So, there you are again. Stuck in the fringe zone.

To help you with the transition, here are 4 Simple Ways to Style Your Fringe:

  1. Bobby Pin It. In this situation, the bobby pin is your new best friend. A few bobby pins and a little bit of hairspray will quickly get your bangs out of the way. Try to find different ways to pin your fringe back.
  2. Twist or Braid It. This is the time to try different braiding techniques. Get creative with it. Try braiding your hair and pinning it to the side for a bohemian look. Or, try a fishtail braid and pin it straight back before pulling your hair into a ponytail. Another alternative is to just twist it to the side. Use some hairspray to tame any flyaways.
  3. Find a New Part. Spend some time in front of the mirror and really play around with your parting. You might be able to hide your fringe better with a few long strands over it. You’ll never know what you’ll discover. So definitely give this a go.
  4. Headband It. Use scarves and headbands to mix things up a bit. A headband or scarf is great for holding your fringe back, and it allows you to have your hair up or down.

Once your fringe starts to grow, it will be easier to style it. You can then simple curl it to the side and call it a day. But, we really recommend avoiding this in the early stages as it may lead to increased frustration (and might even push you to trim your bangs…again).

And, if you do get tempted to cut your fringe again, try to remind yourself why you started growing out your bangs in the first place. It will help you stay focused.
