Real talk ladies, we’ve all been there! You wake up late, you throw on some clothes, and look in the mirror and think “what on earth am I going to do with my hair?!” Calm down and don’t panic!…Estelle’s Secret Clip-In Hair Extensions is here to help! You can actually create some quick and easy hairstyles in a flash and the best part is they are incredibly gorgeous and stylish. Your friends are sure to have some serious hair envy when they see you rocking these three simple looks.
Ok, let’s start by pinning up the middle section of your hair out of the way, leaving maybe about a 3-4 inch section at the bottom.
*You may want to get the hair on the sides of your head out of the way to so it doesn’t get tangled.
So, using your curling wand, curl wide sections of your hair working your way up the middle section of your hair.
*The sections don’t have to be perfect just try to curl all of your hair horizontally and in the same direction for the best results!
*Also, there is no need to hold your hair after curling, so go ahead and release it and let it cool.
Are you done with the middle section? Great! Now it’s time to move on to the sides of your hair. You’re going to do the same thing as before, just curl horizontally and release your curls to cool. Perfect!
Ok, now just give your curls a couple of minutes to cool down and set.
Brush your hair out all over, keep going!
* I know what you’re thinking but seriously don’t worry, lol! Giving the curls a good brushing will create a natural, soft and bouncy princess wave. You’re going to love tossing your hair around!
Now, just add a super cute headband and you’re good to go!
* BTW, embellishments are so in right now!
I always have to play around to get new styles exactly how I want them so go ahead and do get the way you want.
* First of all, your parts don’t need to be perfectly straight, matter of fact, just part them by hand.
* Also, you don’t want your ponytails too tight, you kinda want this style a bit loose and messy. I promise it will look great!
* Lastly, remember you’re going to be making 3 sections so try to make each section somewhat equal but again it doesn’t have to be perfect.
First, section off the top part of your hair and secure it with an elastic band.
Flip your ponytail over the crown of your head and out of the way. (I usually use one of those claw clips to hold it).
Anyway, section off the middle portion of your hair and make another ponytail.
Once again, flip it up and over and out of the way!
Finally, take the bottom section and make, you guessed it, another ponytail!
Only with this ponytail, instead of flipping it out of the way, you are going to scoot the elastic band down a bit, I’d say about 4-5 inches.
Ok, now, create a space within the middle of the hair right above the elastic band.
Take the section beneath the band and loop it over and through that space pulling gently.
* If that didn’t make much sense go ahead and use the video tutorial to give yourself a better idea of how to do it.
* You just made the first of the three topsy tails you will be creating. See, it wasn’t that bad, right?! And, don’t be afraid to play around with it to make it the desired looseness and fullness.
Do the same topsy tail loop with the middle ponytail.
Ok, follow me here. Take this one and push it through into the previous bottom topsy tail.
Do the same with the top topsy tail pushing it through into the previous two topsy tails.
* For the top section use your hands to fluff up the top and make sure it looks balanced. I personally like that slight pompadour type look.
Ok, now give the final end of your ponytails a bit of a messy look, add a touch of hairspray to hold, and VOILA!
* Add a pretty accessory to add an extra romantic flair! You did it! Don’t forget to send us some pictures!
* I know this looks like a lot of steps but it’s actually REALLY easy, I just broke it down more to make it easier to follow.
So, go ahead and part your natural hair from about ear to ear going over the top of your head.
* Even though this is another loose and messy type style, I would make this part somewhat straight.
Now you can put the remaining hair in a ponytail out of the way.
Going from the left side to the right (or vice versa) create a dutch braid across the crown of your head, like a headband.
* If you’re not sure how to make a dutch braid, follow the instructions here and then comeback!
* Keep in mind, your dutch braid should not be perfect or tight, it should appear slightly loose.
Keep braiding all the way down leaving a few inches unbraided at the end, use one of your elastic bands to keep it from unraveling.
* Now it’s time to create an amazing, full-bodied ponytail! Start by letting the rest of your hair down.
Figure out exactly where you want your ponytail and take a small amount of your natural hair and apply an elastic band making a mini ponytail.
* Here, I will take things step by step and show you how to apply the clips to create a fuller, longer ponytail. Ready?
* Oh, make sure the rest of your hair is out of the way so it does not get caught up in the clips.
Using the two clip pieces, apply one right above the elastic band onto the hair and the other upside down right under the elastic band. Great job, told you it was easy!
Now, take the one clip pieces, put two above, side by side attaching them to the previous clip and the other two upside down underneath attached to the first clip you put on.
Next, using the three clip piece, go around the entire ponytail attaching it to the other clip-ins.
* Your welcome to add more clips if you want but these should give you plenty to work with.
Good job! Now you can bring back all the rest of your own hair (but leave out the dutch braid) and make a nice, full ponytail. Don’t you just love it?!
* You’re just about done!
Ok, back to your dutch braid. Flip it backward to hide the part and use as many hairpins as you need to hold it securely in place.
For the end of your dutch braid, bring it around and under to the elastic of the ponytail and wrap it around so that it’s hiding the ponytail’s elastIc band. Secure all parts of the dutch braid with hairpins.
Tease the end of your sassy new ponytail and hit it with a bit of hairspray!
