If you have a wedding or a fancy event coming up soon, this romantic side updo is perfect. It’s super easy to achieve and will have you looking gorgeous!

For this look, we are using one of our new shades called Brooklyn Blonde 613+27 (make sure to check out our new hair colors available in all 3 lengths). However, this romantic wedding look can still be achieved without using any clip in hair extensions.

Start by curling your own hair (we used a 5/8 inch wand). Let your curls cool down while you prepare your clip-ins. Curl your clip in hair extensions separately and let them cool down before you clip them in. If you want to plan ahead and save some time, style your clip in hair extensions the day before your event. Make sure to secure each curl using a clip or pin and use a hanger with clips to hang up your clips.

Now that your own curls have had the time to cool down, gently go through your hair using your fingers. Start twisting the front hair (start at your left or right side, whatever you prefer) and twist your way to the other side (approximately past half way). Grab a section of hair at a time and pin in to place. Twist the front hair (on the other side) and pin to secure.

Leave a few strands of hair at the front to frame your hair as this helps create a softer and more romantic look. This is, of course, optional. Clip away the top hair before applying your clip in hair extensions. For this wedding hairstyle, we used two pieces of clip-ins. Add volume and texturize to the hair using texturizing pray or hairspray (optional).

Pinch the top hair and pin into place using bobby pins. Play around and adjust the hair until your happy with the look. But don’t worry about getting it perfect, we’re going for a slightly messy look here. Gather, pinch/crunch and pin into place the bottom hair as done in the previous step. Go through the hair and pin any strands of hair that hair out place. Once your happy with the results, add hairspray for extra hold.
