Thinking about cutting your hair short? Great! We love short hairstyles too. But, before you take the step and cut your hair, we want to highlight a few important things to keep in mind when it comes to short hair.

So, here are 3 Things To Consider Before Cutting Your Hair:

1. Increased Styling Time. Be prepared to spend some time on your new hairstyle. When you have long hair it’s easy to rely on ponytails and buns when you can’t be bothered to style your hair or simply don’t have the time. However, once you’ve cut your hair, these safe options will, unfortunately, not be available.  So, make sure you’re willing to set aside enough time in the morning to style your hair. Quick tip – If you’re unsure of how much time and effort your new hairstyle is going to require, ask your stylist.
2. Research Is Needed. We quickly get bored with our hair. So, although you’re in love with this one in particular hairstyle (which you plan on rocking for a while), it’s important that you find a few more alternative ways to style your new cut. If you are unsure of the different ways you can style your new potential haircut, do some research (Pinterest is a great place to start) or ask your hairstylist for some tips.
3. Regular Hair Appointments. A short hairstyle may require increased maintenance in order to keep the shape of the cut and to avoid getting into an awkward hair length that you find hard styling. So unless you decide to grow out your hair again, you’ll need to keep in mind that a regular trim is necessary approximately every 5 weeks, depending how quickly your hair grows.
