This faux fishtail braid is beautiful and easy to achieve. So, if braiding isn’t your thing or you just don’t have the time for a real fishtail braid, you’ll absolutely love this quick and easy hairstyle. And, it’s perfect for any occasion!

All you need to do is grab sections of hair from each side, tie them together using an elastic hair band to form a mini ponytail, and then loop the tail. Simply repeat this pattern until you get to the end of the tail. Loosen up the “braid” to create more volume and hide the elastic bands. Use a few bobby pins if you need to secure the hair. Lastly, add hairspray for some hold, and you’re done!

We used 4 pieces of clip in hair extensions (from the Classic 20” set in the color Mocha Brown 1C) at the back of the head to add some length and volume to the hairstyle. We do recommend using 3-4 pieces of clip in hair extensions for this hairstyle. However, the hairstyle can, of course, still be achieved without any hair extensions.

To achieve this look, you’ll need the following things: a brush, elastic bands, bobby pins, clip-in hair extensions (optional), and hairspray.
