4 Signs That You Need a Hair Trim

It’s recommended that you trim your hair every 6-12 weeks in order to keep your hair healthyThis may, of course, vary depending on the state and length of your hair. But, there are signs that can better help us determine when we are due a hair trim. These signs shouldn’t be ignored as doing so only causes increased damage to the hair and more length getting cut of at your next visit to the hairdresser. So, if you are trying to grow out your hair or retain the hair length you already have, then we recommend you act quickly when you see any of theses signs listed below.

Here are 4 Signs That You Need a Hair Trim:

  1. Slit Ends. Keep a close eye on your ends. Noticeable split ends is a stage that should be avoided. To avoid this make sure to check your ends on a regular basis.

  2. Tangles. If your hair tangles all the time (noticeably more than usual), it may be time for a trim. Dry and damaged hair tends to tangle easily. And, trying to work through the tangles will only cause further breakage.

  3. No Growth. If you notice that your hair isn’t growing, then chances are that it’s actually breaking once a certain length is reached. This could be due to slit ends or styling methods. In addition to getting a trim, we recommend going over your hair routine to make sure you’re adding enough moisture to your hair.

  4. Less Movement. If there is a change in the movement of your hair (it’s flat and there’s no bounce to it at all) or your hair refuses to hold a curl like it used to, it’s time for you to act. And, please don’t force the hair to style by adding more heat to it. This will only make things worse. The same goes for natural curls as curly hair can lose its shape and bounce when damaged.
