COMBINED FISHTAIL BRAID

ALL YOU NEED ARE YOUR HAIR, HANDS, AND AN ELASTIC BAND.

We have you covered.  Creating a fishtail braid is very similar to a regular braid, only before bringing each section towards the middle use the finger holding that section to split it in the middle so only half that section goes into the braid.

STEP 3:ADD MORE HAIR

Once you braid down about ear level, add a section of hair from the left side of your head and bring it to the right side of your fishtail braid.

STEP 4: OTHER SIDE!

Now, do the opposite! Bring a section from the right side of your head and cross it over to the left side of your fishtail braid.

STEP 5: BRAID DOWN A BIT

Continue with your fishtail braid for about 3 sections.

STEP 6: TIME TO ADD MORE HAIR

Let’s add more hair from your sides again. So, again, take a section of hair from the left side of your head and add it to the right side of the fishtail braid.

STEP 7:OTHER SIDE AGAIN!

Time to bring a section from the right side of your head to the left side of your fishtail braid.

STEP 8:CONTINUE THE BRAID

Continue your regular fishtail braid down till there are about six to eight inches of loose hair left.

STEP 9:SECURE THE END

Secure the end of the braided portion by attaching a small section of the braid to a loose section of the ponytail using a small elastic band.

* Be sure to choose the pieces that will keep the braid from unraveling!

STEP 10:HIDE THAT ELASTIC!

Hide the elastic behind the fishtail braid and you have officially finished your epic fishtail braid!
